They got themselves an attorney to represent them from Minneapolis. I am deaf and disabled so of course I could not attend a hearing about an account that had unauthorized payments taken from a credit card years ago.

They got a judgement and froze my bank account and withdrew my the remainder of my social security disability check. Sent them my 1099 as proof that I receive SS disability and also proof that I receive a monthly check.

Of course they are fighting the exemption. There goes my medical bill money for this month. I can't afford an attorney and can't ask for a hearing because I am in the process of moving.

Pretty bad in a time of bad economy that these dregs of society and bottom feeders go after the poor and disabled. I hope they rot.

Hey r...Chris says he is a "federal debt collector", which is just another term for "blood sucker", not me. I am just the guy that had money stolen from his bank account by them. They will do everything in their power, whether right or wrong, to ***. Like I wrote, dregs of society.

Brian Law of Asset Acceptance LLC keeps calling me about the debt I owe and it's really my husband's debt. But because our divorce was finalized as of August 13 of this year, there's nothing I can do about it. I am on SSI disability as well, but I am filing a cease and desist letter in writing to make the calls stop. I've done everything from putting them on my "reject" list to ignoring the calls completely. Look, I don't admit to the liability of the debt (or deny it for that matter), but I just want the calls and voicemails to stop. Chris, I may not be a federal debt collector like docmngoodfella or whomsoever, but if he feels that he is being harassed by AALLC, then I think the best way to go is a cease and desist letter.

Chris...There is nowhere in the post that I stated I was blind...are you? I paid on the card up to the time of when unauthorized charges were incurred and still have the file of correspondence with the original creditor. I had the credit card account for at least three to five years before I became disabled. Chris, as a federal debt collector, I "think" that this time your conjecture is wrong. Without going into my circumstance I stated exactly what happened and how I feel about the bottom feeders. Thanks for the compliment on the grammar, I guess I am not developmentally disabled.

Look I am human and have feelings like any other person. But to owe money brings things that may occur you may not like. We all have hard times but to be able to write on here and be blind and deaf. Come on and the story about taking your mkedical money. I think honestly you maxed out your credit card and try use your social securiyt as an excuse not to have paid what was owed. In fact I almost willing to bet you paid nothing that you charged on that card to include your own charges you did do. As a federal debt collector, the intuition is usually right. I stand firm against those that owe charged off debts, and feel you need to file bankruptcy, or debt consoldiation and eliminate the debt owed so you do not have repercussions such as this. But to cry on here about a debt you did nothing about for over three years is your own fault. If you had acted on it you would not have had it happen. If on ssi you in now way shape or form need to be given the credit card to begin with. That right there is proof of never going to pay it and helps fuel your natural ability to use your disability as a reason to not honor your financial responsibilities. And your grammar is also very good for a so called blind deaf person.
